Before placing an order, you should familiarize yourself with the adapter information:
1. This modified ELM327 hfmscan adapter (hereinafter referred to as the adapter) is designed to work with Mercedes M104, M111, M119 gasoline engines.
The M104 engine can have the following control systems: LH, HFM, ME-SFI.
The M111 engine can have the following control systems: PMS, HFM, ME-SFI.
The M119 engine can have the following control systems: LH, ME-SFI.
2. The adapter supports diagnostics of only the following control systems: LH, PMS, HFM.
On some late-release engines 104 and 111, the ME-SFI system is installed. In this system, as a rule, a gas pedal position sensor is installed under the hood (see photo). This engine is not supported.
3. The adapter only supports diagnosis of the engine ECU and SRS! It does not read ABS, ESP and other car systems.
For example, the 1992 Mercedes S320 W140 has 3 different electronic components for engine control:
LH - injection control (supported)
EZL - Ignition Control (not supported)
EGAS - throttle control (not supported)
4. The adapter cannot be used on cars of other brands and systems, except as indicated in paragraphs 1 ... 3.
5. If you plan to install the adapter for continuous use, it is best to do this in the cabin (extend 3 wires from the diagnostic block) or in the compartment where the control units are located, installation examples.
6. The operation of the adapter in different operating systems is indicated for each option below.
7. The HfmScan program works through the ELM327 USB adapter and ELM327 WIFI/USB with any engine that is supported by the adapter. In this case, all the functions of the program are available.
